Dementia awareness event

Plymstock Library is hosting a dementia awareness event on Friday 28 June.

The event, which will run from 11am to 2pm, will be a chance to learn about dementia and mental wellbeing and find out how to keep both mind and body active.

Local organisations including the Alzheimer’s Society, Plymouth Mind and the Council’s Plymouth City Museum and Art Gallery will be on hand to give advice and information about support services and activities on offer.

If you’re interested in supporting people with dementia, the Royal Voluntary Service will also be promoting volunteer opportunities that are available.
