The South West’s finest food, drink and crafts will be heading to Buckland Abbey on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 November for the annual Christmas craft and food fair.

Open from 10.30am to 4.30pm, the two-day event will feature over 40 stalls of ceramics, glass, cakes, woodwork, jewellery and textiles. Both old friends and new faces will be there, including Bere Pottery, Hungry Hog South West, Sara Rose Textiles, Dartmoor Chilli Farm, the Buckland Food Growers and Kit Hill Alpacas. Entry to the fair is £1 per person (including National Trust members) and under 16s are free.

Richard Burrow; Visitor Experience Officer at Buckland Abbey, said: ‘Our Christmas craft and food fair is always a great weekend filled with lots of food producers and craftspeople from across the west country. It is an excellent opportunity to find unique Christmas gifts for friends or family in a relaxed and festive atmosphere whilst enjoying a glass of mulled wine and a mince pie.’

Lipson College Big Band will perform a variety of Christmas classics across the weekend, ensuring visitors to the fair get into the festive spirit; and the shop and restaurant will also be open for festive gifts and seasonal food.

Buckland Abbey’s estate, gardens, shop and restaurant is open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays throughout November between 11am and 4pm, with the Abbey open during the weekends in November from 11.30am to 3pm. Buckland re-opens daily for Christmas from 1-20 December.
