Queen of crime Ann Cleeves will be hosted by The Bookery in Crediton Town Square on Wednesday September 1st at 6.30pm for the Devon launch of her new book, The Heron’s Cry.

This is the second book in the North Devon based Two Rivers series.  The first, The Long Call, was a Sunday Times bestseller and described by the Daily Express as “a triumph that cements Cleeves’ status as one of Britain’s best crime writers” and is set to be developed into a major TV series for ITV.

Ann Cleeves is famous for her crime writing, in particular the Vera Stanhope and Jimmy Perez novels, dramatised as hugely successful TV detective series Vera and Shetland.

This is the first event in the  autumn programme which includes fantastic names including Philip Reeve, Sarah McIntryre, and Robin Ince.
