The Plymouth Fairness Commission has teamed up with the Plymouth and Devon Racial Equality Council to host ‘A Conversation About Race’ on 20 November, inviting BME groups in Plymouth to talk about issues of unfairness that they face in the city.

The event will take place between 6pm-8pm at Babbage Lecture Theatre, Plymouth University. Commissioners will listen to what residents find to be fair and unfair about living in Plymouth. There will also be an opportunity for those who don’t want to speak out to communicate their views by writing them down and handing them in at the end of the event.

This event will allow commissioners to develop more of an understanding of the impact that discrimination has on individuals and their families.

Childcare will be available on the night, but will need to be pre-booked to secure a place by emailing freshlingsnursery@plymouth.ac.uk.
