Cash Access UK opens Dawlish banking hub in permanent home
Cash Access UK, the organisation set up to protect access to cash across the UK, has confirmed that the banking hub in Dawlish has opened in its permanent location at 14 Brunswick Place.
The official opening took place on Friday 20thMarch, with Martin Wrigley, MP for Newton Abbot attending to cut the ribbon.
Customers of all major banks can visit the hub any weekday between 9am-5pm to carry out regular transactions including withdrawals and deposits as well as checking balances or paying bills. Additionally, the hub also offers a community bank service where customers can talk to their own bank in a private space about more complicated issues on the day their bank is in the hub:
Monday: Barclays
Tuesday: No community banker available
Wednesday: Santander
Thursday: NatWest
Friday: Lloyds
Dawlish’s banking hub was recommended by LINK, the UK’s ATM network, following a community request. While the site for the permanent hub was being refurbished, a hub was opened at a temporary location in Strand Hall at the Strand Centre. This location has now closed.
There are now seven banking hubs open in Devon with two more in progress in Honiton and Torquay.
