Return of Hospiscare Festive Adventure fundraiser

This December, Otter Garden Centres in Ottery St Mary is once again hosting a family-friendly fundraiser for local charity Hospiscare.

Running from December 17 to 23 (excepting December 18) it’s perfectly timed to kick off the Christmas festivities.

Held in a special venue at the garden centre, the Festive Adventure promises to be a magical experience for families. Children will have the chance to post their letter to Santa, sing along with tuneful reindeer and explore a beautiful Winter Wonderland.

In addition, they’ll collect a delicious cookie mix in the fun, festive kitchen and make magical reindeer food in the stables to leave out on Christmas Eve. The visit to this enchanting realm finishes with a ride on a land train.

Last year the Festive Adventure raised an incredible £23K for Hospiscare - and this year the target is even higher. As a non-profit event, every penny raised goes to the charity to help it continue its vital work providing essential care and support to local families.

Otter Garden Centres MD, Jacqui Taylor said: “We have always been committed to giving back to our community, and what better way than helping a very local charity which provides such crucial services.

“At the same time this is a wonderful way for families to start celebrating the festive season together, bringing joy and smiles to everyone, young and old. Please note, Father Christmas won’t be making an appearance as he’s far too busy at this time of year!”

Tickets for the Festive Adventure go on sale on September 15 and must be purchased in advance. These are priced from £6 to £8. Child and baby tickets are inclusive of cookie mix and reindeer food. Festive Adventure: Great Fun for your Little Elves! - Otter Garden Centres
