Visitors to Drake Circus are invited to get creative at a free craft workshop hosted by local illustrator Freymo on Friday 15th August.

The drop-in sessions will run from 10:30am–1:30pm and again from 2pm–5pm, giving shoppers the chance to design their own vibrant card rainbow decoration with messages of positivity, using a variety of art materials.

Led by illustrator Freymo – known for her playful, expressive work celebrating colour, identity and inclusion – the workshop offers a fun and informal space for people of all artistic abilities to experiment and express themselves.

The event is free and open to everyone, with under-16s requiring adult supervision and no booking required.

Greg Lumley, centre director at Drake Circus and The Barcode, said: “We’re excited to welcome such a talented local artist like Freymo back to the centre and can’t wait to see our shoppers’ colourful creations come to life. There’s so much happening at Drake Circus this summer, from creative workshops to great shopping, food and entertainment – and we’re looking forward to welcoming visitors to enjoy everything the centre has to offer.”

Drake Circus and The Barcode is the perfect spot for a summer day out, with a huge mix of leading brands, exclusive in-store offers, and a wide choice of restaurants and cafés. This summer, many are offering Kids Eat Free promotions, including Yo! Sushi, BrewDog and Burger King. For even more fun, visitors can head over to Cineworld, Paradise Island Adventure Golf or Boom Battle Bar.
