Planning the perfect UK getaway? Devon, with its stunning coastlines, rolling countryside and charming seaside towns is home to some of the country’s most popular holiday parks, and for good reason. Devon has something for everyone, from cream teas (clotted cream followed by jam of course), to walks, pubs and beaches.

Devon is also considered to be a very family friendly destination, with a diverse range of attractions such as The Milky Way Adventure Park, perfect for families with small children. Devon is also home to many fantastic beaches such as Woolacombe (voted the UK’s best beach), Croyde and Instow, allowing for relaxation, mental well-being and sandcastle building with loved ones.

In this blog, we take a closer look at the top holiday parks in Devon, based on Tripadvisor data and overall guest scores out of 5. Interestingly, all 3 of our top-rated parks are part of the Woolacombe Bay Holiday Parks group, showcasing the consistently high standards, facilities, and experiences offered across their sites.

Easewell Farm Holiday Park - 4.1/5

Easewell Farm Holiday Park is a holiday park based in Woolacombe, North Devon. This park has a different feel over other nearby parks, with a “do your own thing” approach. With South West Coastal Paths running through the site and a 9-hole golf course with sea views, this allows for a scenic and peaceful countryside break.

All this leads to a ‘campsite’ feel over a holiday park, helping it stand out over local competition.

Twitchen House Holiday Park - 4.1/5

Also based in Woolacombe and part of the Woolacombe Bay group, Twitchen House Holiday Park is another high-scoring option. Based around a manor house with two crossing paths (one leading down to the beach), this allows for a perfect blend of charm, family fun and proximity to the coast.

Twitchen House is also home to the new Wavesurfer attraction, new for 2025.

Woolacombe Bay Holiday Park - 4/5

Unsurprisingly, Woolacombe Bay Holiday Park also secures a top spot with an overall score of 4.0, beating the likes of Haven - Devon Cliffs Holiday Park, and Parkdean resorts in Croyde and Torquay. With all 3 Woolacombe Bay Holiday Parks securing top spots, what gives them the edge? Woolacombe Bay enjoys a unique backdrop of Woolacombe Beach, with only a 15 minute walk down to the sea.

Guests also benefit from the ability to share facilities and activities across all three Woolacombe Bay parks, including indoor and outdoor pools, evening entertainment, sports courts, and more, offering incredible value for families and groups.

Devon Hills Holiday Park - 4/5

In close running with Woolacombe Bay Holiday Park is Devon Hills, based in Paignton, South Devon. Based in South Devon, the park is one of the ‘UK’s premier’ coastal holiday resorts, set on dramatic red sandstone cliffs overlooking the Blue Flag Sandy Bay in Exmouth, East Devon.

There will be some noticeable differences staying at a holiday park in South Devon, over North Devon. Most notably, North Devon is known for its rugged coastline, rugged cliffs and consistent surf, whereas South Devon will bring a more relaxed, calmer holiday experience. It all depends on what you and your family are looking for.

Haven - Devon Cliffs Holiday Park - 3.8/5

Another strong competitor to the likes of Woolacombe Bay Holiday Parks, Haven Devon Cliffs Holiday Park comes in at 3.8/5. It’s one of Haven’s flagship holiday parks, again located at Sandy Bay in Exmouth, South Devon. The parks also bring a variety of budget to luxury caravans that are also accessible and friendly.

Parkdean Resorts Ruda Holiday Park - 3.8/5

Parkdean Resorts Ruda Holiday Park, based in Croyde North Devon, is a large family friendly resort, coming in at 3.8/5. This park is perfect for those who are looking for a surfing-based holiday with close proximity to consistent waves. Similar to the Parkdean Torquay Holiday Park, it is known for its on site facilities like restaurants and pools.

Parkdean Resorts Torquay Holiday Park - 3.8/5

Nestled just outside Torquay (part of the scenic “English Riviera”),  the park sits on a hillside roughly 15 minutes by car from Torquay’s golden beaches, marina, and town centre. Scoring 3.8, it matches the Parkdean Resorts Ruda Holiday Park. The main differences between the two can be the North and South Devon different holiday experiences.

Overall, we hope this blog has been insightful in learning more about some of the top holiday parks in Devon.
