Boutique B&B marks first birthday at Royal William Yard
RESIDENCE One has welcomed 5,300 guests since it first opened 12 months ago and the team behind the significant regeneration at Royal William Yard is now celebrating a successful first year.
Part of the independent restaurant group, Bistrot Pierre, the boutique collection of 14 rooms have received consistently positive reviews from the likes of TripAdvisor, booking.com and even the Sunday Telegraph.
“Bistrot Pierre is well-established at Royal William Yard - located just across the green from Residence One. Plymouth has been the perfect location for us to open our second accommodation offering for the group, with the city boasting a booming tourist industry and a strong local economy,” said Nick White, CEO of Bistrot Pierre.
Following a six-month refurbishment project, the former home of the Admiral of the Fleet was transformed into a beautiful hotel accommodation suite of rooms in the summer of 2018. Within the first month alone, the accommodation saw 50 pre-bookings, welcoming a mix of visitors from overseas tourists to corporate travellers.
Each room in the Grade II* listed building has been lovingly restored, boasting premium quality amenities and perfectly complementing Bistrot Pierre’s offering.
Nick continuing: “Residence One has played a big role in cementing Bistrot Pierre’s place as part of Plymouth’s tourist market.”
Rob Beacham, co-founder of Bistrot Pierre added: “Care, quality and attention to detail are the values we pride ourselves on and it’s what we incorporated into our rooms when we first opened a year ago and continue to deliver through our excellent customer service.
“We’re now looking forward to the next 12 months - and beyond - and, what we hope will be, a long and successful future.”
