Plymouth Pavilions is proud to be working with and supporting LIVEWIRE as our chosen charity for 2019.

Livewire is an independent, long-standing youth charity based in Saltash, Cornwall, offering support to young people through music and traditional youth work, helping steer them through the trials and tribulations of growing up.

As a venue, Plymouth Pavilions will provide invaluable support to this local charity. This includes fundraising and onsite awareness, collections, the opportunity to showcase the talent of those involved and much more.

We are thrilled that as part of the launch of PAVILIONS INTRODUCES, a hand curated program of events showcasing the South West's finest talent in Plymouth Pavilions most intimate setting to date, Livewire Youth Music act, STRANGER, will be performing alongside Land of the Giants and Tankus the Henge.

Andy Rance, Youth Work Coordinator at Livewire, said: “We would like to thank Plymouth Pavilions for choosing Livewire as their chosen charity of the year.

“The young people who attend Livewire have a passion for making music and have discovered that Livewire enables their musical ambitions through the provision of a comprehensive range of free lessons and hands-on experience.

“Our aim is to change young lives and encourage productive activity, using music and music technology as a catalyst for all young people with an interest. Many of the young people improve their employability chances and some go on to study music, making careers within the field.

“Livewire recognises that there is an increasing number of young people who are facing difficult challenges, and the charity is unique in providing music and mental health support in cooperation with social services, probation, a professional counsellor team and music teachers, all working in concert to help individuals who are struggling.”

Sarah Phillips, Chief Executive of Plymouth Pavilions, said: “We are extremely proud to be supporting Livewire as our chosen charity for 2019.

“We hope our collaboration with this fantastic local charity will help to raise much-needed funds, engage new audiences and provide opportunities to inspire young people to get involved.”
