
A Grand 'Bray' Out at The Donkey Sanctuary Ivybridge
The Donkey Sanctuary Ivybridge’s Open Day will be held on Saturday 2 June and promises a packed day of fun and activities for the whole family.
isitors will be able to meet the resident herd of donkeys, watch donkey care demonstrations and a variety of donkey activities. There will also be the chance to interact with the donkeys to learn more about these wonderful animals and how they support vulnerable people in our communities.
Explore the entire centre and grounds with The Donkey Trail and find the answers to all sorts of donkey questions. Trail sheets cost £2 and there is a prize for everyone who takes part.
There will be the opportunity to adopt a donkey and centre adoption donkeys Pooh and Eeyore are key members of the herd. Adopting a donkey is one way of helping the charity to continue reaching donkeys worldwide.
Bob Venn, senior centre manager at The Donkey Sanctuary Ivybridge says: “Come along to meet our wonderful donkeys, staff and volunteers and help to raise money to support the Donkey Facilitated Learning sessions we provide to vulnerable people as well as providing a home for life for thousands of unwanted donkeys.”
Delicious refreshments will be available throughout the day including homemade cakes and ice creams and for some retail therapy there will be a variety of stall holders offering an array of products. The Donkey World shop will be stacked with all sorts of donkey inspired goodies which make ideal gifts or a great souvenir of the day.
All proceeds from our events help fund the work of The Donkey Sanctuary worldwide.
