The Man Engine is here to save the day!
For those suddenly realising they’re running out of time to find that perfect Christmas present, the ideal answer, of epic proportions, is ready and waiting.
Because on Tuesday 3rd April 2018, the colossal Man Engine will be visiting Tavistock and people can hop online and purchase tickets for friends and family of all ages – and the whole process take literally minutes (if even that!)
The largest mechanical puppet ever constructed in Britain steamed the length of the Cornish Mining World Heritage Site in summer 2016, unearthing a deep lode of passion and pride. Now, the colossal miner is preparing for his Resurrection Tour across Cornwall and West Devon, before he drives further, into Somerset, South Wales and up to the North of England.
And the anticipation of either an ‘Afternooner’ or ‘Afterdarker’ Man Engine experience for Devon people of all ages, will lighten up any faces on Christmas morning. And seeing as the trends are all about gifting experiences, rather than ‘things’. Could there be a better option?
For those who managed to see ‘the big boy’ the last time, there is a lot extra on offer at the Man Engine 2018 Resurrection Tour events, such as two elements to each location’s event, namely the ‘AFTERNOONER’ and ‘AFTERDARKER’. The ‘AFTERNOONER’ will give families and big kids the chance to really get to know the largest mechanical puppet ever constructed in Britain with a whole host of family friendly activities and some cracking food and drinks for sale. The AFTERDARKER promises an edgier extravaganza with even greater miracles of super-scale puppeteering science on show, a real celebration of our revolutionary past.
The Man Engine Resurrection Tour 2018 tickets are available for each of the Cornwall and South West England events from manenginetickets.com at prices from £10 per adult and £6 per child/concession. (plus an additional booking fee.)
The creator of the 11.2m high Man Engine, Will Coleman of Golden Tree Productions said, “Merry Christmas to everyone across Devon! We’re all looking forward to all of the excitement we’re bringing to Tavistock next Easter and want to thank everyone in advance who has purchased a ticket for their friends and families for this Christmas
