Nursery children jump straight in to Children in Need fundraising
Two Plymouth nurseries are jumping at the chance to fundraise for Children in Need by organising a special Word Treasure Hunt at a local indoor play centre.
The Mama Bear’s Day Nursery and Pre-Schools in Fort View and Springhill Green, Pennycross have come together to hold the special event at Jump on Sunday 12 November.
Children will take part in a challenge to find the hidden letters around the complex before special guests make a surprise visit.
Mama Bear’s Springhill Green Nursery manager, Alex Davis, said: “We are great supporters of Children in Need every year and decided this year to team up with our other Plymouth nursery at Fortview to raise money for the charity.
“This fun afternoon at Jump will hopefully raise a great amount for the cause and will also be a chance for the children to socialise with their friends outside of the nurseries.”
Mama Bear’s Fortview nursery manager, Emma Hurley, said: “We are thoroughly looking forward to this year’s Children in Need celebrations. The children always really get behind the activities and have a great time making memories while learning about the good
cause.”
The family-run Mama Bear’s Day Nurseries provide care for children from three months to five years. There are now 22 settings across Bristol, Somerset and Devon all of which will be raising money for Children in Need.
Mama Bear’s Day Nursery is a family-run business. The Day Nurseries are aimed at providing children with their first vital level of education to give them a head-start when they start at primary school.
