Plymouth UK Etsy Team celebrates Christmas and local creatives

Plymouth UK Etsy Team is helping the people of Plymouth conquer their Christmas shopping and connect with the makers and designers behind the perfect gifts at the Etsy Made Local market, at Devonport Guildhall on the weekend of 2nd and 3rd December 2017. It’s part of a national one-day event that will see over 40 cities from coast to coast celebrating the makers, designers and collectors that make up the creative community selling on Etsy.com, the online marketplace for handmade and vintage goods, and encouraging people to look locally for this year’s Christmas gifting.  More than 40 local Etsy sellers will be selling at the Plymouth UK Etsy Team’s Etsy Made Local market, with products ranging from hand stitched and stuffed artist teddy bears to vegan soap and candles. The event will give the people of Plymouth a chance to discover some of the best of the city’s creative community, allowing them to connect with and buy directly from local makers and designers. As well as providing the perfect opportunity to find unique, affordable and meaningful gifts in the lead up to Christmas, the event will also include live music, exhibiting artists, creative workshops and popcorn from local company Portlebay Popcorn. Rebecca Johnson, Plymouth Etsy team leader said “Etsy Made Local: Plymouth is going to be the first Etsy event to be brought to Plymouth and we are very excited about how it is shaping up. We have over 40 amazing, artisan sellers lined up offering unique and handmade gifts alongside some wonderful local musicians.
