
Police launch Plymouth rape investigation
Police are continuing to investigate a rape incident which happened in the Barbican area of Plymouth between 10.40pm and 11pm on Monday 18 September 2017.
Police were informed at around 11:45pm of a rape having taken place on Sutton Harbour.
A cordon was in place in the area yesterday as scenes of crime undertook their initial investigations. Detectives are continuing with their enquiries, gathering CCTV and forensic evidence.
Officers have advised that the only description of the suspect is that of a white man with brown stubble.
The victim, a 19-year-old woman, is being supported by specially trained officers.
