
Murder investigation launched in Plymouth
Detectives have launched a murder investigation following the suspicious death of a man in Plymouth on Sunday 2 July.
Police were called at around 12.40am on Sunday morning by paramedics after concerns were raised for the welfare of a man outside The Clarence pub in Stonehouse, Plymouth.
On arrival, paramedics found a man in his 60s collapsed and after several attempts made to resuscitate him, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Ashley Lawman, 25, from Stoke, Plymouth has been charged with manslaughter and is due to appear before Plymouth Magistrates this morning [Monday 3 June].
Officers are appealing for anyone who may have information which may assist with the enquiry to contact them.
