
Appeal after affray incident outside Britannia Pub
Police are appealing for witnesses to a fight and other related disorder involving several people on Wolseley Road, close to the Britannia pub on Friday evening (28 April). The incident took place at around 9.15pm.
It is understood that there was an altercation between two men. During the incident one of the men has been hit in the face with a pint glass and then a group of men have assaulted the other man by stamping and kicking him whilst he has been on the floor.
One man, aged 22, received treatment for his injuries at the scene and was later treated at hospital for superficial injuries caused by a glass. Another man, aged 41 is in a stable but poorly condition at Derriford hospital after suffering face and chest injuries.
Three men aged 22, 36 and 40 were all arrested that evening and have since been released while police continue to make enquiries. Other people have been interviewed by police as voluntary attenders.
