Bond Dickinson to strengthen Scottish presence with Edinburgh office
National law firm Bond Dickinson, which has a large office in Plymouth, is expanding its presence in Scotland, with the opening of a new office in Edinburgh.
The firm, which already has a presence in Aberdeen, will open an office with around two or three partners and up to 20 staff.
The office will be located in the heart of the city on Princes Street and will focus on delivering legal services to clients in the firm's key sectors, in particular Energy, Financial Institutions and Real Estate.
The new office will bolster the firm’s Scottish presence and work closely with Bond Dickinson's Aberdeen office, which has a strong oil and gas focus and acts on behalf of many leading clients in the energy industry.
Jonathan Blair, Managing Partner at Bond Dickinson, said: “We wanted a second office in Scotland to support our clients and Edinburgh was a natural choice, being at the heart of Scotland’s central belt."
“The firm's growth strategy includes increasing our presence in both domestic and international markets where the opportunities to do more work for our clients exist. Our approach to growth and investment has always been in response to client demand. Over the past year we have heard from more and more clients that they are keen that we have an Edinburgh presence, so that we are on hand when they need us."
Bond Dickinson provides legal services across a range of sectors including financial institutions, insurance, retail, energy, transport, manufacturing, real estate, and private wealth. Bond Dickinson is the largest law firm in Plymouth where it employs around 180 staff.
