Eddystone Media’s One Plymouth volunteer team are pleased to announce a new partnership with Plymouth City Council (PCC)’s Visitor, Marketing & Events Team.

The aim is to help further showcase and highlight the large scale events - like Pirate Weekend, Armed Forces Day and MTV Crashes Plymouth - held in Plymouth annually, with the focus on increasing visitor attendance and awareness.

One Plymouth’s team members Scott Grenney and Jason Kiely regularly provide rolling live coverage of events via social media, using high quality photography and videos to spread the word about local events and engage with the online community.

The partnership with the PCC’s Visitor, Marketing & Events team will allow greater “behind the scenes” access to events, resulting in a database of high quality imagery which in future could be used to promote local events to a wider audience.

“We see this as an exciting opportunity to work together with the Council to promote Plymouth and making visitors and the local community aware of how much Britain’s Ocean City has to offer,” said Eddystone Media’s Scott Grenney.

“The future of event promotion is to make the excitement and content visible to a much wider audience than just the attendees. With our partnership we can reach a national - and potentially global audience and engage them in encouraging them to attend,” Jamie Yabsley, PCC Visitor, Marketing & Events Manager. “This could, in time, be a game changer for the City.”
