Unexplained death in Newquay

Police were called to Mount Wise, Newquay just after 6.30am today (1 July) after reports of a woman was unconscious in the street.

An ambulance was called and the woman was taken to Treliske Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

A cordon has been set up in the area and the scene is being examined by forensic officers.

The death is currently being treated as unexplained.
