Tyson Fury vs Arslanbek Makhmudov, and the other big bouts coming up
From a heavyweight comeback on home soil to a world title fight in the shadow of the Pyramids, and a blockbuster rematch 11 years in the making, there is something for every boxing fan on the horizon. Here is a look at the big bouts coming up.
Fury vs Makhmudov, April 11, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, London
Tyson Fury returns from retirement once again to face Russian knockout artist Arslanbek Makhmudov at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, live on Netflix. With Fury Makhmudov odds heavily favouring the Gypsy King, the focus is as much on what Fury has left as on the threat Makhmudov poses.
The 36-year-old challenger carries one of the most fearsome right hands in the division and has 19 knockouts from 21 wins, but Fury's movement and ring craft should provide a stern examination of his limitations. A comfortable Fury win opens the door to far bigger nights in 2026.
Wardley vs Dubois, May 9, Co-op Live Arena, Manchester
One of the most compelling all-British heavyweight clashes in years. Fabio Wardley, who produced a stunning comeback stoppage of Joseph Parker in October 2025 to claim the WBO interim title before being elevated to full champion, makes his first title defence against Daniel Dubois.
Dubois is no stranger to the biggest stages, having won the IBF heavyweight title by beating Filip Hrgovic for the vacant belt and then knocking out Anthony Joshua in his first defence, before losing it to Usyk. Both men carry serious knockout power, and this fight is unlikely to go the distance. A fascinating domestic showdown with genuine world title implications.
Usyk vs Verhoeven, May 23, Pyramids of Giza, Egypt
Oleksandr Usyk defends his WBC heavyweight title against Dutch kickboxing legend Rico Verhoeven in one of the most visually spectacular settings in sporting history. Billed as "Glory in Giza", the event will be streamed live on DAZN.
Verhoeven holds 18 world kickboxing titles and brings enormous physicality, but stepping into a professional boxing ring against the pound-for-pound best in the sport is an entirely different proposition. For those weighing up boxing odds on this one, Usyk will be a prohibitive favourite, but the bout being sanctioned as a title fight has caused mass controversy.
Mayweather vs Pacquiao 2, September 19, Sphere, Las Vegas
11 years after their Fight of the Century, Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao will settle the rivalry once more at the iconic Sphere in Las Vegas, streamed globally on Netflix. Mayweather, 49, comes out of retirement for a professional bout for the first time since beating Conor McGregor in 2017, with his perfect 50-0 record genuinely on the line.
Pacquiao, 47, returned to action in 2025, fighting WBC welterweight champion Mario Barrios to a draw. Before September, Mayweather is keeping himself busy. He has a tentative exhibition against Mike Tyson pencilled in for April, and a confirmed exhibition clash with Greek kickboxing legend Mike Zambidis at the OAKA Olympic Complex in Athens on June 27.
Whether the rematch lives up to the original remains to be seen, but there will be no shortage of global eyeballs on it.
