Plymouth diving duo win bronze in Florida

Plymouth's Tonia Couch and Sarah Barrow have won a bronze medal in the women's 10 metre synchro in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

The European champions finished third in the USA Grand Prix behind the Chinese pair of Jie Lian and Haung Xiaohui, who won gold, and silver medallists Pandelela Rinong and Leong Mun Yee from Malaysia.

Tom Daley pulled out just prior to the event with an elbow injury. He had been due to compete in the men's 10m platform event.

Couch and Barrow both failed to reach the final of the 10m individual dives. The pair finished fifth in the London 2012 Olympics.

They fly on to Guadalajara in Mexico for their next World Series event.
