Plymouth Devils on the road this week
Redcar v Plymouth, Premier League, Thursday June 12 at 7.30pm
Plymouth switch from the excitement of the cup to the business of collecting Premier League points with two tough away matches in as many days against Redcar and Edinburgh.
The Skills Group Devils visit Redcar on Thursday evening and travel on to meet league leaders Edinburgh 24 hours later, writes Graham Hambly.
Co-promoter Ashley Taylor says: "They will be two hard matches on the road, especially against Edinburgh, who are currently the unbeaten league leaders."
Plymouth will take some encouragement from the fact that they lost by only four points at Redcar last month when they were beaten 47-43 in the second round of their KO Cup first round tie.
"We had a good result in our cup match at Redcar, which enabled us to progress in the competition with an aggregate win," said Taylor.
"So it is important that we take something out of that match ahead of our visit to Edinburgh on Friday evening."
Plymouth are hoping that Kalle Katajisto will have recovered from the wrist injury he suffered at the St Boniface Arena last Friday in time to take his place in the side at Redcar.
Steen Jensen of Berwick is standing by as a guest replacement in the event of Katajisto being unfit, while Coventry’s James Sarjeant comes in as a National League guest for Roland Benko, who is still ruled out with a shoulder injury.
Plymouth: Ben Barker, Adam Roynon R/R , Kalle Katajisto, Kyle Newman, Rasmus Jensen, Sam Simota, TBA (Guest) Team Manager Lee Trigger.
Edinburgh: Craig Cook, Justin Sedgmen, Max Fricke, Derek Sneddon, Sam Masters, Aaron Fox, Stevie Worrall, Team Manager Alex Harkess.
