Plymouth Albion will not have a further pre-season friendly fixture this weekend after finding themselves unable to secure a game.

In a statement on the club's website, Albion said:

"Despite the club’s best efforts, we have unfortunately not been able to confirm a fixture for this weekend."

"The club were hopeful of securing one of the Welsh Premiership sides, but due to injuries, none of the clubs feel they can field a side to compete with Plymouth Albion."

Albion begin their RFU Greene King IPA Championship season against Jersey in the Big Rugby Weekend on Sunday 15 September at Sandy Park, Exeter, kick off 1.15pm.

Tickets are still available from the Exeter website, click here to buy. Remember to select the Plymouth Albion box at the end to ensure the money goes to Albion.

As the game is being shown live on Sky Sports the club will be screening it as well as the Cornish Pirates v Bristol game live in its Midas Marquee from 12 noon. Hot beef baguettes will be available to buy.
