New look Devils victorious over Glasgow
NEW signing James Wright played a key role for Plymouth in their 53-41 victory over Glasgow at the St Boniface Arena on Friday evening, writes Graham Hambly.
Despite not having ridden competitively for over 12 months, Wright was unbeaten by an opponent in three of his four races to finish with six (paid nine) points.
Josef Franc also had six points on his home debut for the Skills Group Devils to complete a sound all-round team performance.
Team manager Lee Trigger said: "It was good to see the new riders doing well, especially with James Wright picking up points from the back.
"Sam Simota did particularly well at reserve, dropping only one point in his six races.
"There was a good atmosphere in the pits and we will hope to carry that buzz through to our meetings against Somerset next weekend."
Plymouth’s scheduled away match at Peterborough on Tuesday evening (July 22) has been postponed until later in the season.
Next up for the Devils will be their West Country derby clashes against Somerset at the Oaktree Arena on Friday (July 25) with the return at the St Boniface Arena 24 hours later.
