Cheltenham Town v Plymouth Argyle

Johnstone's Paint Trophy, 1st Round, Tuesday 3 September 2013 (kick-off 7.45pm)

A chance for Plymouth to set aside their up and down league start for an evening as they travel to Cheltenham for their first round tie in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy on Tuesday (3 September).

It's a little over a fortnight since the Pilgrims beat Cheltenham 3-1 in their League Two game at the Abbey Business Stadium. First half goals from Morgan, Hourihane and Boco clinched that game in an impressive performance, but Cheltenham will be out for revenge in the knock-out cup competition for League One and Two sides.

John Sheridan's final day of the transfer window signings, Hamza Bencherif and Jamie Reckord, are both eligible for selection as the manager seeks to use his squad resources to best effect. He will have one eye on Saturday's home West Country derby agains Bristol Rovers.

The Robins have won one and lost one in League Two since their defeat to Argyle, while narrowly losing to West Ham in a Capital One Cup tie. With both sides experiencing mixed form, it could be a tight cup tie.

Will the Pilgrims repeat their success of their league win?
