PLYMOUTH will be looking to continue their successful home form when they meet Newcastle in the Premier League at the St Boniface Arena on Friday evening (7.15pm).

The Skills Group Devils have won their last five home league matches and will be aiming to take three points from Newcastle to keep alive their bid for a top six finish to reach the end of season play-offs.

Ipswich are currently in sixth place, with a nine-point lead over Plymouth and complete their fixtures with a home match against Peterborough on Thursday evening.

A win for Ipswich on Thursday would see them pull 12 points ahead of Plymouth – with their race points difference being worth an additional point.

Plymouth have five matches remaining, home matches against Newcastle, Berwick and Scunthorpe, in addition to visits to Rye House and Scunthorpe.

Devils co-promoter Ashley Taylor says: "We still have 17 points to play for and it could be that we will need 13 points – although it may only be 10 points needed to overhaul the Witches.
"When we start our final run against Newcastle on Friday we will know just what we need to do. What matters is that it will be in our own hands and we will have everything to ride for."
