What is the Action Sports Tour?
Europe’s premier mountain bike show, the Animal Bike Tour, has evolved into the Animal WD-40 Action Sport Tour. It now features two of the world’s best professional mountain bike riders, an incredible free runner and the country’s hottest young scooter riders.

We’ve taken sports, traditionally at home in mountains and skate parks, and relocated them to music festivals, city centre’s, and action sport events with dramatic effect.

A super-slick show that uniquely communicates to both core and mainstream audiences and has built a reputation for blowing crowds minds.

Since inception in 2001, we’ve performed in front of over 600,000 people, undertaken over 2,000 shows and travelled over 300,000 miles to events such as Goodwood Festival of Speed, T in the Park and British Formula 1.

Showcases the meticulous control and mind blowing skill of mountain bike trials riding, the high octane, airborne world of dirt jumping, the visual and physical phenomenon that is free running (urban acrobatics) with the UK’s best young scooter riders to create a show that entertains and inspires every age.

Athletes

Martyn Ashton

British mountain bike legend
Four times British Champ
World Champion
Guinness World Record holder

Martyn is one of the countries highest profile riders & the godfather of bicycle trials. In his 17 years as a pro has been British Champion, World Champion & held the Guinness World Record for high jump.

Martyn is a true legend of the sport, his genre is bike trials but he commands respect from all disciplines of the sport. His incredible talent, infectious enthusiasm and down to earth nature make him popular with everyone he meets.

Blake Samson

1st King of Dirt Portugal ‘07, ’08, ‘09
2nd King of Dirt UK 2009
2nd This is Trash Jam, Holland 2010
Owned a Pet Vulture

Zimbabwean born dirt jumper Blake Samson fully earned his place on the Bike Tour in 2009 as he whipped up a frenzy with his super extended tricks and riding passion.

He has trained hard and for 2013 will be cutting loose with the biggest, baddest moves he has dialed in at competitions around the world – it is a huge year for Blake and the Tour!

Luke Madigan

Luke’s acrobatic skills exploded on to the show in 2012 with such an impact that we knew for 2013 not only did we want him back, we would challenge his creative free-running discipline even further with a new landscape to push his strength and courage to the max.

At only 19, Luke’s originality, speed and fluidity in the show have already proved astounding, watching it progress as the tour rolls out this year is going to be very exciting to watch.

James
 Jones

Welsh BMX rider James has been riding for four and a half years, travelling all over the UK to hit the best skateparks and dirt jumps.

James loves a contest and has won every competition in Wales - now he does demos for the community and even during music festivals! James entered NASS festival 2012 and qualified 2nd but due to a broken collarbone ended up not being able to participate. This year James has qualified already but still wants to go through the process to prove his place in the comp - testiment to his attitude and determination to do well.

Scooters

The tour will be showcasing the countries best scooter riders in a sport that has exploded through the world’s youth population due to its accessibility. Put one in the hands of a teenage pro and you have a mind bending concoction of backflips, frontflips and spins that in its introduction to the show has astounded the other athletes and the crowd.
