Table of treats to raise money for Macmillan

Woods Bryce Baker's coffee morning raised £169 for Macmillan

On 7th October, the staff in the Woods Bryce Baker office in Preston once again welcomed shoppers, colleagues, friends, family and clients old and new to join them for the annual Macmillan Coffee Morning.

There were treats aplenty spread on the green Macmillan tablecloth-clad table, including a selection of doughnuts, Bakewell tart, cookies, muffins and cakes in a variety of flavours, for guests to eat-in or takeaway, in exchange for a donation to the Cancer charity.

Dozens of people joined the Woods Bryce Baker ladies – Sarah Thomas and Samantha Winning with the help of Mrs Baker senior – at various times throughout the day and enjoyed coffee and cake, raising a total of £169.

Sarah Thomas, Distinctive Homes coordinator at Woods Bryce Baker, said: “Our Macmillan Coffee Mornings are a long-standing tradition in the town. We love to host, make cakes and chat with our guests over a cuppa. We’d like to thank Wright Electrical in Paignton for their kind donation and extend those thanks to everyone who came and donated. Macmillan is such a worthy cause, so close to many of our hearts.”

Macmillan Cancer Support exists to help everyone with cancer live life as fully as they can, by providing physical, financial and emotional support to them and their families. For further information, visit www.macmillan.org.uk.
