Plymouth will be turned into a winter wonderland this Christmas with Drake Circus Shopping Centre’s very own snow making machine.

At 4pm every day – from November 18 – snow will be falling for 10 minutes at the Cornwall Street entrance of Drake Circus to give us all a taste of what life might be like in Santa’s Lapland.

And it will provide Santa with a home from home as he meets the city’s children at his special grotto inside Drake Circus, which is home to more than 70 stores.

Drake Circus Centre Director Greg Lumley said: “We wanted to make sure Santa felt as comfortable as possible and we were worried he might miss the snow.

“So now, at 4pm every day, we will be providing him with a light dusting of his favourite weather to make him and his elves feel right at home.”

And when the wintry weather gets too much why not get cosy, cuddly and close in one of Drake Circus’s warm and inviting restaurants – including new eatery Bill’s, M&S Café, Yo! Sushi, or café Curva.

Or you could shop for some cosy stuff from the 70+ top retail names at Drake Circus - join the little ones making their very own cuddly friend for Christmas at Build a Bear, stop and recharge with a gingerbread latte from Starbucks, treat yourself to a pamper with a Christmas bath bomb from Lush or look at this winter’s warm and wonderful fashions at Next, Joules or Fat Face.
