Two bitten in Plymouth assault

Police are appealing for witness after a man and woman were assaulted outside the social club on Ker Street, Devonport, Plymouth on Friday 7 February 2014.

At around 11.20pm, following a disagreement inside the club, a group of men and women left a private function.

The disagreement continued outside and, as a result, a 26-year-old local man was bitten on the side of his face and a 44-year-old local woman had part of the tip of her finger bitten off.

Both victims, who were stood in the street at the time of the assault, were taken to hospital for treatment.

The suspect is described as a white male, aged 16 or 17, 5ft 6ins, of stocky build with short mousey brown hair. He was wearing a white top and jeans.

A police spokesperson said: “Enquiries are ongoing and we are keen to speak to any witnesses.”
