The family of the woman who died after a collision on Friday evening have paid tribute to her.

Jennifer Arnott, 77, died shortly after arriving at Derriford Hospital following the incident in a car park at the University of St Mark and St John.

Jennifer’s family said: “Jennifer Anne Arnott, a loving mother, grandmother, partner and dear friend, sadly passed away on Friday 17 October 2014, aged 77.

“Despite her age, Jenny was a fit, active and energetic lady who maintained a full, adventurous and busy life.

“Gone before her time, Jenny will be sadly missed by her family and many friends.  She loved walking, travelling, gardening, reading, bridge and, following a career caring for others as a volunteer and radiographer, spending time with people.

“Through her life Jenny moved from homes in Crapstone, Forder, Latchbrook and, having outlived her lifelong husband, John, settled in Mount Batten with her partner to be close to family.”

Police have confirmed the 18-year-old driver of the Vauxhall Corsa involved in the collision has not been arrested.

Police are appealing for any witness who may have seen what happened to contact them on 101 quoting log 708 17/10/14.
