Thousands celebrate Armed Forces Day

Despite the weather thousands of people took to the Hoe on Saturday for what has been described as the best Armed Forces Day yet.

Supporting the national initiative the day gives us the opportunity to show our ‘thanks’, raise awareness of and support for our Armed Forces community and celebrate the outstanding contribution it makes to our country

With jaw-dropping air displays, foot-tapping entertainment and many opportunities to take pictures of the military vehicles on display or explore the showcase villages, the atmosphere was buzzing all day.

The fun went on well into the evening as local bands took to the stage for a night to remember.
