The Royal Plymouth Corinthian Yacht Club (RPCYC) has been recognised by the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) for its impressive story of resilience and growth amid the challenges of the pandemic. In recognition of its efforts, the RPCYC has been presented with a Certificate of Commendation by the RYA.

In 2020, the RPCYC faced the daunting task of restarting its activities in the midst of a global pandemic. Despite the many challenges, the club's leadership and members worked tirelessly to ensure a safe and successful reopening.

Overcoming a range of logistical hurdles, the RPCYC created new protocols and procedures to ensure the safety of its members and staff.

Thanks to the club's hard work and band of volunteers, the RPCYC has been able to build a new and more diverse membership base that continues to grow.

The club's leadership has made a concerted effort to be more inclusive and welcoming to new members, and the result has been a thriving and dynamic community of sailors of all ages and backgrounds.

The RYA's Certificate of Commendation is a testament to the RPCYC's hard work and dedication to the sport of sailing and boating. It is a recognition of the club's commitment to creating a safe and welcoming environment for all sailors, and to ensuring that the joy of sailing can be shared by as many people as possible.

As the club looks to the future, it will continue to build on its success and work to expand its membership even further.

The RPCYC is a shining example of what can be achieved through hard work, dedication, and a commitment to inclusivity and diversity in the world of sailing.
