Pre-loved sale at Newton Abbot Racecourse

With Christmas just around the corner, there is an opportunity to support Hospiscare and find a bargain at the ‘Pre-Loved’ sale at Newton Abbot Racecourse on Saturday 14th November.

Hosted by the racecourse’s Conference and Events Manager, Sylvia Fairchild, the event will look to raise funds for Hospiscare to help them continue their amazing work, caring for those who are terminally ill in Exeter and across Mid Devon.

The ‘Pre-Loved’ sale is one of a number of fundraising events organised by Sylvia to raise money for the charity. She is also taking part in the Great Wall Challenge in October 2016, walking part of the Great Wall of China over eight days to raise even more.

The ‘Pre-Loved’ sale will feature a number of stalls, selling everything from clothes to accessories, homewares and more. Open to those looking to buy or sell, it is the ideal time to make a start on shopping for Christmas or clear out unwanted items before the New Year.

Sylvia Fairchild spoke about the event: “Hospiscare is a wonderful charity that has done so much for so many people locally. Over the years, I’ve seen first-hand the amazing work that hospices do to help people and I’m delighted to be able to support their efforts.

“This is all leading up to my self-funded trip to China next year to walk part of the wall in the Great Wall Challenge. I’m really excited about taking part in such an exciting event whilst raising money for such a worthy cause, it’s going to be a challenge for me but it will be more than worth it. I’m hoping to raise over £3,000 for the charity and am really looking forward to seeing what the final amount is.”

The ‘Pre-Loved’ sale will take place from 9:30am to 1:30pm at Newton Abbot Racecourse on Saturday 14th November. Admission to the public is free of charge, although a donation to Hospiscare would be greatly received.
