
Police investigate Plymouth death
A woman has died following an incident at a property on Connaught Avenue, Plymouth.
Police were called at 10.50pm on Sunday 4 March to reports of a concern for welfare of a female.
DI Paul Otter said: “A group of people were reported to be under the influence of alcohol and had also taken controlled drugs. We are currently investigating to determine what the substance was.
“A woman in her 20s was in cardiac arrest and was treated by paramedics at the scene. She was taken to Derriford hospital where she was pronounced deceased this morning, Wednesday 7 March. Her next of kin have been informed.
“A second woman, in her 40s, was also taken to hospital. She is said to have recovered.
“Our enquiries are ongoing into this matter.”
A 38-year-old man from Plymouth was arrested on suspicion of concerned with the supply of controlled drugs has been released under investigation, pending further enquiries.
