Police call for witnesses after assault in West Park

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted in West Park, Plymouth on Sunday 14 July.

The incident happened at about 2am in Shaldon Crescent.

A 29-year-old man confronted a man who was damaging his car, a green Vauxhall Astra, parked on his drive.

The 29-year-old victim and his partner were then assaulted by that man and another.

During the assault one of the suspects hit the male victim with a weapon causing a puncture wound to his jaw. The victim received other facial injuries and a broken hand as a result of the assault.

DC Evans, Plymouth local investigation team, said: “We are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed any part of the incident, including the damage to the vehicle.”
