Plymouth saw a sunny start to Bank Holiday Monday, and the good news that dry weather and sunny spells are expected to continue through the week.

Shoppers and tourists enjoyed temperatures hovering around the 21°C mark on Monday, with cloud cover expected to build through the afternoon. But according to the Met Office, clear skies should emerge by Monday evening.

Tuesday will also stay dry, with a bright start to the day. Temperatures are expected to reach 22°C, before dropping slightly as skies cloud over.

After a misty start, forecasters say some sunshine will break through the cloud from time to time on Wednesday, with temperatures again staying steady at about 21°C.

No rain is expected until potential showers on Thursday evening.
