New faces at BCRM
The clinical team at Bristol Centre for Reproductive Medicine (BCRM) which treats patients with fertility issues living throughout the South West, has been boosted with the arrival of three new team members: consultant Andrina Louisy, and two clinical fellows – Jess Leese and Rebecca Davies.
With a career already spanning 30 years, Andrina Louisy has come to BCRM to work with their donor sperm team, mainly treating same-sex couples and single women. She is a fertility and reproductive medicine specialist and a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) and British Fertility Society.
Andrina was drawn to specialise in gynaecology from her very first experience on a labour ward. She trained at Charing Cross Hospital and has spent most of her career as a fertility specialist and reproductive surgeon based in clinics in and around London.
Rebecca Davies qualified from the University of Oxford in 2011, pursued advanced training in obstetrics and gynaecology and has been working in this field since 2013. She specialises in endometriosis care and minimally invasive surgery.
A member of the RCOG, she served for three years as their trainee rep for the Oxford area, and was also a lead reviewer for their Guideline Development Committee and was Vice Chair of the Trainee Advisory Committee for Health Education England Thames Valley.
Her interest in teaching has led her to design and deliver several training courses for junior doctors in the field of obstetrics and gynaecology, and she has participated in research, presented at international conferences, and overseen positive change in patient pathways to enhance experience.
Like Rebecca, Jessica Leese is a senior registrar in obstetrics and gynaecology and a member of the RCOG, having started her specialist training in 2016.
She graduated from the University of Exeter (PCMD) in 2014, and since she started her specialist training in 2016 Jess has developed a keen interest in reproductive health and laparoscopic surgery which has spurred her on to undertake additional training in subfertility and IVF.
Jess is actively involved in teaching and research and has presented her work internationally and aims to become a consultant gynaecologist specialising in fertility issues.
Rebecca and Jess will both be involved in scans and consultations with patients, as well as egg collection at BCRM.

The clinic is based at Aztec West, near the intersection of the M4 and M5 motorways, giving easy access for patients throughout the South West and Wales as well as further afield.
