Man dies after car crashes into post

A man has died in a crash in Plymouth.

The accident happened outside the Macdonald's restaurant in Plymouth Road just before 6am yesterday (11 January).

A police spokesman said: “The car had gone off the road and struck a post, causing extensive damage to the vehicle.

“The driver, a male in his mid-20s, was declared dead at the scene. Apolice investigation is under way to confirm the circumstances.”
