Man assaulted outside Plympton pub

Police are appealing for information after a man was assaulted in Plympton as he left the pub.

On Friday 17 July between 9.30pm and 10.30pm, a 38-year-old man was assaulted outside the Joshua Reynolds Inn, in the Ridgeway area.

The victim was attacked as he left the pub following an argument in the car park next to the Co-operative store.

He was punched in the face and suffered a serious facial injury as a result.

Detective Constable Matt Nile, based at Crownhill, said: “The offender is believed to have been drinking in the pub all evening and is a regular to the area.

“He is described as white, of medium build, in this late 40s and 50s, with grey/white long hair to his shoulders. He was wearing a white t-shirt and black jeans.

“We are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or who knows the man matching the description.”
