Big hearted patients and members of staff at Peninsula NHS Treatment Centre have donated an amazing selection of prizes for a Christmas raffle in aid of chosen charity, Improving Lives Plymouth.

From hampers to handbags, biscuits to beauty packs, there is something for everyone in the choice of prizes currently on display in the hospital’s reception. Tickets are £1 a strip.

Also for raffle is an all-singing, all-dancing brand new Kitchen Aid food processor worth £800 and donated by a patient. Tickets for this prize are £5 a strip.

All raffle tickets are available from the main reception at Peninsula NHS Treatment Centre. The winning tickets will be drawn on Wednesday 18th December.

Improving Lives Plymouth is the chosen charity at Peninsula NHS Treatment Centre for the next year, and the charity can trace its history back to 1907. The charity delivers services and creates new ones to meet the needs of individuals, communities and organisations in and around Plymouth.

The charity also runs information, advice and support services for people with disabilities and long-term health conditions.

Operating from two bases in the city centre and Mannamead, Improving Lives Plymouth delivers a number of projects including: Active for All; Better Futures; Caring for Carers; Community Champions; Long-Term Condition Self-Management; Sensory Solutions and; Veterans and Family Hub. In order to run some of these initiatives the charity works with other organisations including Age UK, Devon and Cornwall Police, the Alzheimer’s Society and local NHS.

Mark White, Hospital Director at Peninsula NHS Treatment Centre, commented: “Once again we have been overwhelmed by the generosity of patients and colleagues in donating prizes for our Christmas raffle, which this year is in aid of Improving Lives Plymouth. We are delighted to be supporting the charity over the coming year.”
