This Saturday, 3 October, National Trust rangers are inviting the public to Wembury Woods for a day of activities celebrating the woodland environment. There will be lots of woodland activities for all ages, from learning the traditional countryside skill of coppicing, to cooking on a campfire and having a go at building a den.

Area Ranger, Marc Hoskins, explained: ‘There will be other craft and hands-on activities for everyone to try. We have fantastic woodlands around Wembury and this is a great opportunity to experience them first hand. We want to encourage people to get out and enjoy the woods this Autumn.’

The event is from 11am to 4pm and it is free. Meet at Wembury Woods and look out for the signs on the day.
