A selection of high chairs and desks have been kindly donated to our children’s wards at Derriford Hospital.

The Freemasons have supported many wards throughout the hospital over the years and for the last 18 months have donated many items, including microwaves, toys, buggies and much more to Level 12.

Sue Rodgers, Play Specialist Team Leader, said: “The donation of high chairs is brilliant, as Woodcock Ward is primarily younger children and we use high chairs on a regular basis and are always having to look for some.

“We are also going to be placing one on our Children’s Assessment Unit for those children who have to come in to be assessed and may need to stay with us for some time. We want to thank the lodge for all of the generous donations that they have given us, every one of them is in constant use.”

Michael Duff, Director of Ceremonies for the lodges, said: “Every year we select various wards throughout the hospital and present them with thousands of pounds worth of donations. The staff here do such great work, so it is wonderful to do something nice for them.”
