Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue suspect that a fire in a disused paper factory was started deliberately.

Two appliances from Crownhill and Camels Head were mobilised to reports of a building on fire in Southway Drive, Plymouth on Sunday evening.

On arrival crews discovered smoke issuing from the building of two floors that used to be used as a paper converting factory.

The fire was on the first floor and was extinguished using two breathing apparatus, one hose reel and a thermal imaging camera.

Natural ventilation was also used to clear the smoke.

The cause was determined to be deliberate.
