Two fire appliances from Camels Head attended a microwave fire at a property in Landulph Gardens, St Budeaux yesterday.

The incident happened at around 3.45pm.

A Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service spokesman said: “Crews arrived on scene and confirmed a small fire in the kitchen.

“Crews put the fire out using one hose reel jet with two breathing apparatus wearers.

“One female was suffering from smoke inhalation, and was administered oxygen therapy by fire crews. An ambulance also attended.

“Crews ventilated the property using a positive pressure fan.

“Light damage was sustained to the kitchen, and the cause was accidental.”
