Exeter development celebrates success as all homes sold

A local housebuilder has sold the last of 187 homes at its popular Exeter development.

Barratt Homes’ Victoria Heights, on Loveridge Drive in Alphington, launched in 2021 and has seen a thriving community built over the past few years – helping many first-time buyers get onto the property ladder in the region.

Situated on the edge of Exeter, the final homes have now sold, with the last residents starting their new chapter in the charming development.

As part of its development, the housebuilder invested £1,357,485 into supporting improvements to local transport, education and amenities through a planning agreement to enhance the area.

Nearly £850,000 was dedicated towards upgrading the local roads and highways, improving transport links for both existing and new residents.

Richard Lawson, Sales Director for Barratt Bristol, said: “We are delighted to have provided much-needed new homes in Exeter while contributing to the growth of the local community.

“It’s easy to see why our Victoria Heights development has been such a huge success over the last few years – with its fantastic location, offering a slice of the countryside while being close to a city, and homes that combine sleek, modern interiors with the practical functionality needed for everyday family living.

“The development is such a special place to live, and we are thrilled to have built such a blossoming community.”

Barratt Homes is continuing to build at nearby developments, including Okement Park in Okehampton and Treledan, just across the border in Cornwall.

House hunters can also utilise initiatives offered at these nearby developments, including the key worker deposit contribution scheme designed to help homebuyers through the process of moving.
