Families looking for a lively Easter holiday day out can head to Exeter Racecourse, where an afternoon of thrilling jumps racing will be combined with free entertainment for children.

Set high on Haldon Hill with sweeping views across the Devon countryside, the raceday promises plenty of action both on and off the track as one of the final fixtures of the National Hunt season gets under way.

Alongside the racing, younger visitors can enjoy a host of Easter activities including an Easter egg hunt, the chance to test their skills on the Roller Ball Derby, creative arts and crafts activity bags and a twin dance machine for those keen to show off their moves.

While the children are entertained, racegoers can soak up the atmosphere as horses thunder up Exeter’s famous uphill finish, with jockeys battling it out in what promises to be a competitive afternoon of racing.

With fresh spring air, exciting sport and plenty to keep families smiling, the raceday offers a brilliant way to spend a day together during the Easter holidays.

Gates open at 12.40pm with the first race at 2.10pm.

Tickets start from £15 per person and a raceday bus will leave Exeter St David’s at 12.45pm, returning at 5.30pm.
