Ladram Bay Holiday Park in Devon recently helped draw roars of laughter from presenters Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford on ITV's This Morning.

It happened when the show's Josie Gibson pitched up at the park's private beach this summer to learn how to stand up on a paddleboard.

The former Big Brother star got off to a perfect start – but then caused hysterics back in the studio when she took a tumble and made a dramatic splashdown in the sea.

Not that Josie had any excuses – the water was beautifully calm, and she was being taught by paddleboard professional Becky Dickinson who has been doing the sport for 10 years.

But Josie's latest challenge made a very entertaining sequence on This Morning, both for the TV audience and for the holiday guests at the park who witnessed her attempts.

Eamonn and Ruth enjoyed the escapade too, and heard Josie describe the views from Ladram Bay's beach in Budleigh Salterton as "breathtaking".

Following her ordeal, Josie tucked into a lobster salad prepared in the park's Pebbles Restaurant from that morning's catch.

Ladram Bay director Zoe House said the park was delighted to host the This Morning team, and that everyone cheered on her brave bids to stay upright.

"The beach is a much-loved feature at the park, and our watersports equipment hire facility there is enormously popular with families.

"If guests this summer would like to follow in Josie's wake, we'd be delighted to provide them with a paddleboard to see if they could do any better.

"But if they would feel more confident in a kayak or motorboat, we hire those as well – and the views will be just as breathtaking!" said Zoe.

Ladram Bay provides a host of activities, attractions, and entertainment – plus  holiday caravans and lodges to rent or own, glamping pods, and pitches for touring guests.
