
Devon’s longest-serving bus heroes honoured
Stagecoach South West celebrated 27 dedicated team members at Sandy Park Stadium in Exeter, recognising decades of commitment to keeping public transport running reliably across Exeter, Plymouth, Torquay, and Barnstaple.
The recognition event celebrated employees with milestones up to 35 years of service. Highlights included Michael Rose and David Taylor (Exeter) and Kevin Kellow and Allan Lee (Plymouth), each marking 35 years of dedication. Others celebrated for 25 years of service included Dale King (Torquay), Gwyn Davies, Jon Davis, and John Woodman (Plymouth), while employees reaching 20-year milestones included David McGee (Torquay), Philip Sansom, Ian Hartnett, and others.
Retiring colleagues were also honoured for their service, including Sandra Elliot (21 years, Torquay), Derek Bartlett (22 years, Exeter), Michael Tout (23 years, Exeter), Paul Swash (11 years, Barnstaple), Mary Brock (8 years, Torquay), Peter Morton (2 years, Exeter), and Nicholas Everson (13 years, Barnstaple). Their awards formally recognise the contribution they have made during their careers.
